The Most Underrated Yankee Ever?
Tom Tresh died today. He was a great SS...and had good hitting and great fielding ability. He was the 2nd best utility player ever for HYY, Yogi being #1. It is hard to imagine being as good as he was, yet still being an unknown because of Yogi, Mantle, Skowron, Ford, and Mantle. RIP Tom.
Oops, sorry...actually he died on the 15th. Pardon the incorrect numbers. If memory serves me right, which it seldom does, he was the NYY shortstop between McDougald and Kubek. Somebody wanna check me out on that? Thanks.

When the Yankees traded him to a West Coast team, he retired rather than not be a Yankee. Now, that is LOYALTY.
