Expert / Firm Profile  John F. Cerlanek is a Certified Document Examiner, co-founder and President of SignaScan, Inc., a state of the art Questioned Document Laboratory. Mr. Cerlanek has assisted SignaScan employees in the development and application of the latest technology and scientific methods in handwriting and document analysis. Over one million dollars has been invested in research and equipment, since 1987. Five U. S. Patents have been awarded to SignaScan, involving: Signature Analysis and Verification; Handwriting Analysis; Document Analysis; and non-destructive Ink Analysis. John Cerlanek is a court qualified expert witness, who has worked and provided expert opinions on over 3000 questioned document cases – with a proud record of accurate and effective results.  

Services   Our patented equipment and reliable scientific analysis can provide the conclusive, and/or objective evidence, to strongly support your case. We provide total technical assistance, effective reports with pictures of the evidence found; and convincing presentations with graphic exhibits - so the Judge and Jury can see the evidence, for themselves. Analysis is performed on a “Computer Aided Document Analysis System” which affords: variable microscope viewing (1 to 500 X); precision measurements within 1/10,000th of an inch; dual image equalizations - for precise overlay comparisons, at varying magnifications; hi-resolution, dual monitor viewing; top, bottom and oblique lighting; image captures; computer software aided analysis; and the creation of effective evidence exhibits.
